Charlotte Bendorf began teaching piano lessons when she was 16. Since then teaching music has been her ongoing passion. Her students range from early beginner to advanced, and she has prepared students for competitions at all levels.  
     She has a B.A in Piano Pedagogy from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. She also studied at John Brown University and Grace College.  Charlotte is a member of the Illinois Music Teachers Association, the National Guild of Piano Teachers and the Suzuki Association of the Americas, through which she is certified in Suzuki books one through five. 
     In addition to teaching, Charlotte is active in her church music program as a pianist and hand bell choir director. She has also been an accompanist for public school music competitions. She has been a judge of many piano competitions, and she has been a Piano workshop clinician at Rockford College and for Illinois Association of Christian Schools.  
    
Charlotte and her husband, Rev. Darrell K. Bendorf, pastor of Harvard Bible Church, Harvard, raised two children. Adam is a pianist and private piano instructor in California. Katie is a violinist and private violin instructor in Illinois. They are grandparents to six beautiful grandchildren,3 in California and three in Illinois.
